St.Nicholas Primary CE School, Hurst

Parent Teacher Association

St Nicholas School Association is the parent teacher association of the school. All parents automatically become members when their child starts at the school.

Our Aim

To raise money to further the goals of the school and provide additional facilities for our children. As a spin off we also aim to provide a forum where both parents and children are able to socialise outside of school hours.

We organise a series of fundraising events throughout the year, some for parents and some for the whole family, which we hope are fun and entertaining but also raise funds for the school. Our largest fund raiser is the annual Hurst Horse Show in June, in which the school is a major participant. Regular events also include an annual dinner, cooked by a team of Dads, a very popular quiz night, children's discos, a family bingo evening and a family barbeque. We have also set up a web site shopping link which gives us commission on items sold, visit www.buy.at/stnicholashurst to find out more.

Where does the money go?

In recent years we have funded the refurbishment of classes 1 and 2. We are now embarking on the redevelopment of both playgrounds to provide the children with a more exciting environment in which to work and play.
